Igor Vale was born in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. He grew up in a home broken from alcoholism and family violence. Growing up Igor’s health was very poor and the doctors said he was not strong and would not have a long life. One day his mother met Jesus in a prayer meeting and learned to pray. One day, Igor’s mother prayed that God would heal Igor and make him healthy and in return he would be dedicated to fulfill the will of God. God healed Igor's health and his whole family was saved by Jesus. As a teenager, he started to serve in the church and have many experiences with God. As a young adult, Igor was already feeling a call into missionary work because he wanted to do something very important and impactful for the kingdom of God.

After completing University Igor participated in a volunteer trip to the Amazon and he came to know that his calling to serve the Lord was there. Igor decided to deliver his life to God in order to be a missionary within the Brazilian Amazon, fulfilling the promise his mother had made in his childhood.

Val Maia was born in Roraima, Brazil and grew up in the city of Caracaraí with her two sisters and two brothers. Her town was very small and simple on the banks of the Rio Branco. When little, she would go to church and hear the Word and praise. She enjoyed going to church, but because her family was not Christian, she did not have the support to continue going. As a young girl, she moved to the city of Manaus in search of fulfilling her dreams through study and work. In Manaus she came to know Christ and dedicated her life to Him. In the church, where she dedicated her life to Christ, she also met Igor who is now her husband!
